Indofood Supports Sea Games XXVI in Indonesia

Today, Indofood and the National Committee of SEA Games XXVI (SEA Games Organizing Committee / INASOC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) related to company's support in SEA Games XXVI 2011 in Indonesia. Indofood will be a Prestige Partner in this biggest sports event in Southeast Asia.

The MoU was signed by the Director of Indofood, Franciscus Welirang and Chairman of INASOC Rita Subowo. This signing was also witnessed by Indonesian State Minister of Youth and Sport Andi Malarangeng and Chief Executive of INASOC Rahmat Gobel in Jakarta.

This cooperation covers various fields in the form of financial and products support as well as joint campaigns to increase awareness and public participation in SEA Games XXVI.

Indonesian State Minister of Youth and Sport Andi Malarangeng expressed his appreciation and support for Indofood's participation to INASOC and expects that this support can be followed by other private companies, in order to create the success of SEA Games XXVI for the pride of Indonesia.

Franciscus Welirang said that the involvement of Indofood in SEA Games was driven by a desire to participate in advancing our national sport. This is in line with five pillars of Indofood's corporate social responsibility program, especially in the pillars of Building Human Capital and Outreaching to the Community.

Chairman of INASOC Rita Subowo also expressed her appreciation and gratitude for the support of Indofood to INASOC for the success of SEA Games XXVI. She hoped that Indofood's support will be part of the success of SEA Games this year.

SEA Games XXVI 2011 will be held in Indonesia (Jakarta and Palembang) on November 11th-25th. This biennial event involving 11 countries in Southeast Asia, including Brunei Darussalam, the Philippines, Indonesia, Cambodia, Laos , Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste and Vietnam.
